3. Identity Verification
3.A Why identity verification is required
Customers requesting bail bond services are required to provide valid government-issued photo identification as part of the bail bond application and underwriting process. Identity information is reviewed and matched against the information provided on the bail bond application and related documentation before services are finalized. Acceptable identification may include a driver's license, state-issued identification card, or other government-issued photo ID.
To protect applicants, indemnitors, defendants, our agency, and the integrity of the bail bond process, we require identity verification in connection with an application or other request for services. You must provide information that is accurate, current, and complete, and you must have authority to provide information about any other person named in an application.
3.B Identity Verification Information
We may request identifying information and a readable copy or image of an acceptable government-issued photo ID. Identity verification information may include the person’s name, date of birth, address, identification number, photograph, expiration date, and other information needed to compare the identity document with application information.
Identity verification is required before services are finalized. Before services are finalized, we review the identity information provided and match it against the information in the application. We may ask for clarification, additional documentation, or a different identification document when information is missing, inconsistent, unclear, expired, appears altered, or cannot be reasonably verified.
4. Verification Process
4.A Acceptable ID Types
Unless we tell you otherwise, an acceptable ID is an unexpired, legible, government-issued photo identification document that reasonably identifies the person presenting it. Examples include:
- A valid driver’s license issued by a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia;
- A valid state-issued identification card;
- A valid U.S. passport or U.S. passport card;
- A valid military identification card;
- A valid permanent resident card or other federally issued immigration identification; and
- Another government-issued photo ID that we approve after review.
Do not send an ID that is expired, unreadable, cropped so that required information is missing, or altered. We may request the front and back of an identification document when necessary for verification. We will tell you if another document is needed for a particular application or person.
4.B Verification Process
We review the government-issued photo ID and the identity information provided with the application. Identity must be reviewed and matched against the application information before services are finalized. We may decline to finalize services, pause an application, or request additional review when identity cannot be verified, when application information does not match the identification provided, or when we identify a security, fraud, compliance, or legal concern. Verification does not guarantee approval, release, acceptance of an application, or availability of any bail bond service.

9. Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information and identity documents against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Safeguards may include access controls, limited access to records, secure systems, and procedures for handling sensitive information. No website, transmission, storage system, or method of electronic communication can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, complete and document transactions, verify identity, satisfy legal, regulatory, licensing, insurance, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, and recordkeeping requirements, and protect our rights. Retention periods vary based on the type and sensitivity of the information, the purpose for which it was collected, and our legal and business needs. When information is no longer required, we delete, destroy, de-identify, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with our procedures and applicable law.
10. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law and our legal, regulatory, security, and recordkeeping obligations, you may contact us to ask about the personal information we maintain about you, request correction of inaccurate information, ask questions about our practices, or request deletion of information that we are not required to retain. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request, and we may deny or limit a request when permitted or required by law.
You may choose not to provide requested information. However, if information is needed to verify identity, evaluate an application, comply with law, or provide a requested service, we may be unable to process the application or finalize services without it. You may also manage cookies through your browser settings and unsubscribe from non-transactional communications as described below.

You may receive service and transactional communications even if you opt out of promotional messages.
If we send optional marketing or promotional communications, you may unsubscribe using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Opting out may not stop communications that are necessary to respond to you, complete a transaction, protect security, or comply with legal requirements.
12. Nevada privacy rights
Nevada residents may have the right under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A to submit a verified request to opt out of the sale of certain covered information.
